ALPS

Been awhile since I properly updated this space of mine here.....

So I was away from technologies for the past 4 days. Went for my IG, ALPS ( Alpine Leadership Training Program for Students ) camp.  Camp was extremely tough but very much fun at the same time too. Training stretched me much that I was able too where I really stand in terms of physical & mental strength.

Day 1 ( 08/06/2010 )
Report to school for ALC activities in the morning. Played some random camp games and got the chance to enter a facility that only exists a few places in Singapore, the artificial obstacle tunnel. Woots! Day was fun, especially the tunnel :D Had dinner, washed up and played some reaction games. I amazed everyone, including myself how being tired could make one BLUR TO THE MAX. Keep losing in all the games and had to do forfeits. Everyone in ALC remembered me for all the wrong reasons....Pfffttt.

Day 2 ( 09/06/2010 )
Woke up to doing PT early in the morning. Jumping jacks, suicide runs, stretches. Freshened up, breakfast, packed up or bags and off we go on our way to Ubin. Reached Changi V, had lunch and took a boat ride down. Trekked for the whole of Ubin. Freshened up, dinner and then followed by night hike alone for everyone. People claimed to have saw 'things' around campsite.

Day 3 & 4 ( 10/06/2010 - 11/06/2010 )
Woke up to doing some morning stretches again. Had breakfast and a little sharing session with the seniors and fellow ALPS members. Hahas, funny stuff there. Learnt lots of secrets and pass 'glorious moments' of each other. Done with breakfast, cleared up campsite and took off for mainland Singapore. Ate lunch at Changi V's market and hiked towards to East Coast park as our supposed final pit stop and trekking for the camp. We spent 5 hours plus to get to East Coast, pitched up out tents and slacked around. Bathed, cooked maggi for dinner and waited for Abang David ( ALPS in charge ) to come with Edwin, one of the guys to climb Mt Everest for Singapore. Waited all in excitement, only to be get shoot by Abang David. After the sharing of experience climbing Everest, Abang David pulled off a stunt on us, telling us that the bus pick up point would be at Changi V at 9am the next day. Instead of 9am at East Coast Park. Abang David planned this all along to test our mental strength. So, sad for us....We had only 2 hours plus of sleep, waking up at 2.30am to pack up and freshen up to hike back to Changi V. Didn't make it in time for the bus as we were short of a few clicks!! Damn....So we were picked up off the roads and back to RP.

Lots of pictures to upload, just need to wait for them to get to me!
